My Morning News Wrap the Day After the Bondi Massacre.

M68!: Morning News Wrap. From around the Globe to your Frontal Lobe. Good Morning. Here is the news:-

Well by now I assume you have heard of the incredible tragedy of the mass shooting on Bondi beach. 16 people have been killed, including children and a Rabbi. 42 others have been injured. The shooting lasted for 15 minutes and targeted Jewish people celebrating the first day of Hanukkah.

The shooters were father and son. The father was killed and the son was critically injured.

Police have declared this an of terrorism.

Prime Minister Albanese has been asked if his government has failed Jewish Australians and his response was that the ‘government would continue to stand with Jewish Australians’. Yeah, while he recognises a Palestinian state, which clearly was an endorsement of the terror group Hamas, allows Senators to carry a Palestinian flag into our Federal Parliament and stands by as his MP’s openly endorse Pro Palestinian protests across Australia. In addition, the Government has done very little to address the rise of anti semitism. Mr Prime Minister, if this is you ‘standing with Jewish Australians’, then may I suggest you are breathtakingly ignorant of your Government’s failures and at the same time extremely incompetent. Here is a thought, stop galivanting around the world and stay home and show some leadership. It’s too early to start laying blame for who or what caused this, but I blame you Mr Prime Minister. It’s on your watch that this happened and may I suggest you created an environment where terrorism was birthed in our nation.

Over the next few days expect all the politicians to fall over themselves promising new measures to combat terrorism and anti semitism and then over the next 6 months they will do nothing in the hope that we as a nation will forget and move on. We will not forget.

I suggest this will fundamentally change Australia. The day terrorism came to Australia. The day terrorism visited an iconic place. The day, simply going to the beach, which most Australians do and love, turned into a murderous bloodbath.

Cities around the world have ramped up security around Hanukkah events in response to the Bondi attack.

That will do on this very sad day.
