My daughter Laura loves getting letters in the post and so as it was coming up to her 10th Birthday, I posted on my Facebook wall asking for a favour, for people to send her a birthday card. Well we ended up with 64 cards from all over Australia and all over the world, including, China, Vietnam, England, USA and NZ. The Post Office Manager at North Nowra said that he had never seen anyone get as many birthday cards as Laura did. Laura was absolutely stoked at all the cards and she sat there for a full 90 minutes and read every card. So I want to say a very big heart felt thanks from me to all my Facebook friends, some of whom I have not yet met personally, who spent the money and the time to bless my little girl. I deeply appreciate it. I have put this blog post together to show you a little of the excitement when she when to the mailbox.

What a great Dad to think up such a wonderful birthday surprise for your daughter. I am a firm believer in building good memories to cherish. Receiving mail by post for birthdays seems to be a thing of the past due to facebook.
