Thanks for giving us something to think about once again, Pastor Pete! Here are some of my thoughts/experiences on some of these tips:
7. & 17. – do they contradict each other?
11. I grew up in a home where sarcasm was the native language and my father was the expert linguist. Being open to the conviction of the Holy Spirit and the corrections of my wife & children have kept me from carrying on the family tradition.
12. I am blessed to have such a partner. What’s up to me is to live in such a way that she feels the same about me.
13. There’s a cheeky satisfaction in doing this for people.
14. That’s powerful!
32. Is the continuation of 31.
34. It’s amazing how positive a thing gratitude is, especially when it is expressed towards those who’ve gotten you to where you are.
38. This is a good one for when the road ahead seems like an endless tunnel.
42. I’ve made it a habit for well over 20 years to say “thanks for your help” to people who’ve helped me on the phone, or over the counter in a shop, government agency or wherever I’ve had to ask someone for assistance. I do it even when they haven’t been helpful. It’s amazing how many people laugh when I say it to them!
44. E-tags hav ruined this one!
49. These days you could get arrested for this one.
51. I’ve been trying to impart this to each of my kids a they’ve reached a certain point of maturity in their teens. Getting a hold of this fact can save a lot of frustration in life.
