I love being creative. I think it adds colour to life. There are a number of things that I do to keep my creative thinking constant. I came across a blog recently that listed out 33 Ways to Stay Creative. (www.theworldsbestever.com). I thought it was a great list and there are a lot of things on the list that I do. But it did get me thinking about some additional things that I do that aren’t on the list. So here is the list I took from that site and the I added some of my suggestions.

- Carry a notebook everywhere
- Try free writing
- Get away from the computer
- Be otherwordly
- Quit beating yourself up
- Take breaks
- Sing in the shower
- Drink Coffee/Tea
- Know your roots
- Listen to new music
- Be open
- Surround yourself with creative people
- Get feedback
- Collaborate
- Don’t give up
- Practice Practice Practice

Here are my additions for how to be creative:-
- Be a reader of blogs
- Allow an idea to ruminate for a couple of weeks in your brain and heart
- Understand the power of your imagination – and use it.
- Give yourself to developing your ability to think creativity
- Be Positive. Negativity and creativity don’t work together
- Keep learning new things.
- Commit to getting out of the comfort zone
- Be a Yes Man. Say yes to as many opportunities as you can.
- Brainstorm with people around yu
- Hang out with kids, they are amazingly creative

- Exercise and get some endorphins pumping through your body
- Put the hours in. Being creative takes time.
- Everyone is born creative yet we lose it when we are rewarded for colouring inside the lines. Start rewarding yourself when you colour outside the lines and it works.

- Make a list of things you love
