This morning in church (23/2/2014), we had a powerful time of ministry around a Word of Knowledge. Over the last 48 hours I have been seeking a word for people in the church. Last night I had a most vivid dream of me giving out lengths of rope in church. When I woke I asked God for an explanation and he showed me it meant two things. God said that there will be people in church today who feel that they are at the end of their rope in two different ways:-
1) The first way is that people have undergone an enlargement in life. It might be a new career, new study, a new relationship, a new project whatever:- but the pressure of enlargement has caused the person to feel like they have come to the end of their rope. You see this scripturally in Isaiah 54:2 which says Enlarge the place of your tent And let them stretch out the curtains of your dwellings Do no spare Lengthen your cords and strengthen your stakes
2) The second way people may feel they are at the end of their rope is that they are going through a storm in life. In Act 27 Paul is on a ship that is being destroyed by a storm. Verse 17 says that they used ropes to lash the ship together. What they did in bible times during a storm is they would tie a rope around a man and throw him overboard:- he would swim under the ship come up the other side and they would then use the rope to keep the ship from breaking apart. The Word of Knowledge around this is that people are going through storms and they have come to the end of their rope to hold their life together.
With these two thoughts in mind, we prayed and ministered to people today that God would strengthen and lengthen their ropes. In other words that there would come a fresh strengthening from the Holy Spirit into people’s lives.
As a prophetic action we prayed over lengths of rope and gave pieces to each person we prayed for.
We ran out of rope (we had 50 lengths), so we are going to be praying over rope again in the night service. If you would like a piece of rope, I am more than happy to send you a piece that we have prayed over. We will stand with you in prayer that as you have come to the end of your rope, God will lengthen your rope. My mobile number is 0407 288 404. Text me your name and address and I will send your some rope and pray for you.
