Currently watching the News reports of the protestors post the US Presidential Election. Two things that the Clinton side of politics rallied with great passion against Trump was that he was bigoted and/or intolerant and that he was foolish for saying that he would possibly not accept the outcome of the election if he lost.
Now that the Clinton camp has lost – her supporters are showing themselves to be exactly what they accused Trump of being. They are being totally intolerant of anyone who voted for Trump and they are refusing to accept the election results – shouting in the streets “Not my President”. Can no one in the streets see the irony of what they are doing?
I always smile that the people who speak most passionately about being tolerant are ultimately some of the most intolerant people around. What preachers of tolerance really are saying is we want people who disagree with us to be tolerant of our opinion but we in no way will be tolerant of their opinion. This ultimately bullies people into silence and may I suggest that the reason Trump is popular is because he said things that the majority of people think but are not longer able to voice because the Orwellian thought police dictate what is PC and what is not.
May I also suggest this is the reason why Pauline Hanson was recently re-elected into the Australian Senate.
Anyway, that’s what I think.

????? Sorry but I think the protest is more about the calibre of the person who’s been elected than about the fact that they lost. It’s about the hateful threats made against certain groups who are displaying fear of what might happen. We have seen 2 trumps on display so far &. It will take time for the real trump to appear, but appear he will. I for one hope with all my heart that I am wrong about who I think that will be. Anyway that’s what I think.
I don’t think the protestors are from the minority groups that possibly you refer to. Nor do I think the celebrities that are dummy spitting, crying and threatening to leave the country are part of that minority group.
It seems they only like democracy when they get what they want.
Hard to say. I’m hearing different views from those living there. I think America will face some form of judgement but we never quite know how that will happen. I certainly don’t see trump as anything but a threat, but as I said, I pray I am wrong & will be more than happy to admit I was wrong. These things usually take a while to play out. I have just ordered a David Pawson book written in the 70’s called ‘The Vision’ because I was contacted by someone I met years ago & they had seen one of my posts. I have respect for David Pawson & from what I hear it’s very relevant to what is happening now. Very hard to get & cost me an arm & a leg for a used copy.
Oh dear Peter, let me correct that, it was David Wilkerson, not David Pawson. I’ve gone & paid heaps for the other book, well maybe I’m meant to read it???
David Pawson is always a challenging and inspiring read.
